Make plans to join us on Friday, August 9th for the sweet corn feed at 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. All you can eat sweet corn with hamburgers and drinks available for purchase. Come for the sweet corn and stay for the greased pig contest that starts at 7 p.m. We will have four age groups for the greased pig contest: ages 5-8, ages 9-12, ages 13-17 (2-person team), and ages 18+ (2-person team). Please fill out the Registration Form and return it before the deadline. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for all age groups! If your registration form is received before August 1st, you will go into a drawing to receive $25 cash!
Saturday morning, August 10th, is our Cinnamon Roll Contest! Dust off your recipe books, bake up your best cinnamon rolls, and bring at least 3 cinnamon rolls to the Main Lunch Stand by 9:00 AM for judging. Prizes this year are sponsored by United Bank of Iowa - $500 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place, and $25 for 3rd place.
Sunday, August 11th, is our Bring Your Pie to Church contest! Bring your homemade double-crusted pie to the Main Lunch Stand by 9:00 AM for judging. Fareway is sponsoring the contest this year, and will be providing $500, $50, and $25 in grocery cards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Pies will be judged and the winner announced at the end of the Threshermen Church service.
This year's collectible toy is the John Deere 4010 Narrow Front with loader. This is the 10th year for this fundraiser. Tractors are $165 which includes shipping. If you pick up your toy at the show, you will be reimbursed your shipping of $20. Toys can be purchased in advance or at the show from the Le Mars Toy Store (712-546-4305).
This year's raffle tractor is a John Deere MT. Raffle tickets cost 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. Tickets can be purchased at the show. If you are unable to attend the show and would like to purchase some tickets, please call our show office.
Visitors can expect to see a sea of green as the Northwest Iowa Tractor Collectors take over the feature area and organize the John Deere feature. Tractors highlighted for 2024 will be the line of New Generation tractors.
Also showcased on display and working in the field will be a line of rare unstyled and styled John Deere tractors.
The club, which started as the Northwest Iowa Two-Cylinder Club in 1991, has a membership of about 125 enthusiasts that now represent all makes of tractors and machinery.
The Northwest Iowa Tractor Collectors are an active club with regular monthly meetings, an annual tractor ride, and they organize the tractor display at the Clay County Fair among many other activities.
The last time John Deere was featured here was in 2014 with 350 registered exhibits. For the feature in 2008, there were over 200 John Deere exhibits.

We are a 501c(3) organization with the show operated by volunteers. Donations can be designated for specific areas, such as the land fund, or will go into the general operations fund. All donations are tax deductible.
